OPENING SCENE: Customer browsing ROMA shoes, Tara chatting away
CUSTOMER: “So… I’m flying back home tonight. But first, I’m meeting a woman at the train station right before I leave. We haven’t seen each other in years. I came to Finland to see friends, but also... for her.”
TARA: “Wait, what? Like, a lost love?”
CUSTOMER: "That's the thing. She doesn't know how I really feel."
TARA: "Oh, this is either going to be the most romantic thing ever or a restraining order waiting to happen. Tell me everything."
He does. By the time he’s chosen his pair, the picture is clear.
TARA: “Okay. You need to be honest. Tell her how you feel. No cool guy act. Trust me, I’m a woman. She’ll see right through you anyway. Second, if something comes out of this, I want the movie rights.”
CUSTOMER: laughs “Deal.”
TARA (confessional): "I was planning to spy at the train station, but we had more shoes to sell. Dear customer, if you're reading this, I am DESPERATE to know what happened. Did you get the girl? Are you planning a wedding? AM I GETTING THE MOVIE RIGHTS?"
TARA: "I'm already thinking about the movie title... How about: 'A pair to remember?' Perfect!"
