We All Live in Our Own Bubbles
OPENING SCENE: Jaana, Minna, and Kalle are in the store. It's a quiet moment between customers. Jaana looks mildly haunted.
JAANA: "I did it again. You know."
KALLE: "I ALWAYS do it."
MINNA: "Do what?"
JAANA: "I was queuing for the toilet at the mall. The woman in front of me. I just... it came out. 'Hey, you're wearing our shoes!'"
Kalle looks unsurprised. Possibly proud.
JAANA: "She turned around so slowly. Looked at her feet. Looked at me. Looked at her feet again."
KALLE: "The full rotation."
JAANA: "I had to explain everything. VIBAe, the store, why I was staring at her feet in a toilet queue. The whole thing."
KALLE: "And?"
JAANA: "Turned out she'd been in the store last month. She met Riitta."
KALLE: "So on a Saturday. That's why she didn't recognize you.”
JAANA: "She loves your mum. Apparently Riitta spent half an hour with her. She bought two pairs."
KALLE: "That tracks."
JAANA: "I need to start looking up. Like, at faces. Normal human eye level. Work-life balance and all that."
Minna has been quiet, with that look she gets when something is assembling itself in her head.
MINNA: "Everyone lives in a bubble. When I was a hairdresser, I couldn't stop looking at people's hair. On the street. On the metro. I'd be having dinner and mentally trimming whoever was sitting across from me."
KALLE: "Professionally or personally?"
MINNA: "Both. The point is — you see the world through what you love. Jaana sees shoes. I saw hair. It's not a problem. It's just what happens when you actually care about something."
Jaana considers this.
JAANA: "So I'm not weird. I'm just... deeply invested."
KALLE: "You're both. But in a good way."
