Visit to Porto: When Business Booms, It's Time to Dance!

Success Calls for Celebration

Sometimes the best problems are still problems.

Our sales shot through the roof – the kind of growth that makes you want to do a happy dance and pull your hair out simultaneously... not joking, our CEO Kalle cut off his famous blonde locks!

While we were thrilled about the growth (obviously), it meant that our incredible artisans in Porto had to put in some serious overtime, including working on Saturdays, to keep up with the demand.

So when we arrived for our annual factory visit, there was only one thing to do: throw a proper party.

Saturday at noon, the machines went quiet, and the music went loud. Luis, our production manager, surprised everyone by revealing his secret talent as DJ extraordinaire! What we'd planned as a full day celebration lived up to every expectation – over 100 people eating, laughing, playing games, and dancing like nobody was watching. The Portuguese definitely know how to party!

We deliberately kept our mouths shut. No speeches, no corporate thank-yous, no awkward boss moments. This wasn't about us patting ourselves on the back; it was about Ismael's incredible family-run operation and the artisans who pour their skill into every single pair we make. We wanted to celebrate as equals, not as the brand owners who flew in for a visit.

The moment that really struck us? Someone casually mentioned we were the first brand to ever throw them a party. It just reinforced how much we wanted to make this a tradition.

We promised this wouldn't be a one-off. Consider it booked in the calendar – same time next year.

Sometimes the best way to say "thank you for making our unexpected success possible" isn't with words at all. It's with great food, music, and dancing, where those skilled hands—so steady and focused at work—get to let loose and wave freely through the air.

Until next time!
