COCOA BROWN AND THE PROBLEM WITH GOOD SHOES

OPENING SCENE: A photoshoot day with Tara as the inhouse model for the new ROMA Woven in Cocoa Brown. Antton who goes by “newbie” is the WhatsApp group is behind the camera.

ANTTON: "Okay, turn slightly. Yeah. That's good."

He checks the frame. Shoots. Checks again.

TARA: "I really want these, the brown is fabulous with jeans!”

ANTTON: "How many pairs do you actually own?"

TARA: “Twelve. Every pair serves a different purpose.”

ANTTON: “Do they?”

TARA: “I rotate responsibly. How many do you have, you’ve worked here for a while now."

ANTTON: "Three. I've told all my friends about our shoes."

TARA: "My my, you are a newbie. We have customers with 20 to 50 pairs. Look, here's the thing. When  you start recommending these to your friends, you change what they wear. Permanently. The old shoes go on Vinted or Poshmark. Or to the flea market. Or they just sit in a bag for six months while they tell themselves they'll wear them again."

ANTTON: "They won't wear them again."

TARA: "They will not wear them again. So they might get mad at you for recommending these. But they won't. Because feet remember. Once they know this feeling, the bar moves. Other shoes start to feel like a negotiation. And feet don’t negotiate. So it's the feet's fault and you're in the clear.”

ANTTON: "That Woven Cocoa Brown really does look great. Brown was the color of the year, last year wasn’t it?"

TARA: "On trend then we are."

ANTTON: "Yes Yoda. And 2026 color is some kind of white."

Tara smiles. Says nothing.

ANTTON: "We have something white coming, don't we?"

TARA: "I have no comment at this time."

ANTTON: "So yes."

TARA: "Clear your schedule for next week."
