We say no to fake gloss and plastic-perfect finish.
Our leather skips the chemicals and comes naturally wrinkled, just like linen shirts, French Bulldogs, and really good humans.
So if your shoes look a little lived-in straight out of the box, that is not a flaw. It's personality, and it only gets better with time, just like you.
Here's the truth: most leather shoes are lying to you before you even put them on. That glassy, poreless shine? Chemicals. A hard finish sealed on top to hide what the leather actually looks like underneath. It photographs well. It wears badly.
Ours skips that part.

Our leather is vegetable-tanned, which means no chromium, no heavy metals. It also means the leather keeps its own character. Grain, texture, the occasional crease that was already there before we touched it. It looks a little lived-in on day one, because that's what real leather looks like when nobody's covered it in plastic.
So no, your shoes are not defective if they arrive with a few soft creases already in them. That's the whole point. It's not a flaw you're stuck with. It's a head start on a shoe that's going to look better in a year than it does today, and better again the year after that.
We'd rather sell you something honest than something airbrushed.

And we're not finished. We're in the middle of running a full Life Cycle Assessment, starting with the ROMA. In plain terms: we're tracking everything that goes into making one shoe, from the raw material to the box on your doorstep, and measuring the actual environmental cost at every single step. Not a guess. Not a marketing claim. Data.
We want to know exactly where our biggest impact is so we can go after it, instead of just feeling good about the parts that were already easy.
Comfort and conscience. We'd like both, please.
