Hanko Pop-Up Open After Midsummer

It's that time of year again—beautiful midsummer! Did you know it doesn't get dark at night here in Finland? We call it the "Midnight Sun," where the sun stays visible for 24 hours a day, especially up north. This happens because of the tilt of the Earth's axis, making the North Pole point towards the sun during summer. So, the sun never really sets, and we get continuous daylight.

Much like the first snow, it continues to surprise us every year, haha! While it's amazing and beautiful, it can be a bit tricky with babies and pets suddenly joining the 5am club... The constant light can mess with our sleep too, making it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. We're big fans of blackout curtains and sleep masks here!

Midsummer is our biggest holiday in Finland. Finland basically closes down in order for families to be able to gather at lakeside cabins for sauna, swimming, and lighting huge bonfires. We get a four-week summer holiday here in Finland, and usually the midsummer festivities start the holiday.

Minna and Kalle are relaxing this weekend, but after midsummer, they are heading to Hanko to open our cute little VIBAe Pop-Up Store. They will be there all July and the start of August too. The store will have a smaller collection of shoes and an outlet for sample shoes and discounted models.

Hanko is on the southern coast, known for its beautiful beaches and charming seaside VIBAe! 😊 It's a popular summer spot for both locals and tourists. If you're traveling in Finland, be sure to come say hi!

Our store will be open every day from 11-18 and 11-19 on Wednesdays. The pop-up will be open until August 8, 2024, but we reserve the right to close sooner, if summer ends early this year and it starts pouring with rain! That kind of kills the vibe...😊

ENJOY THE GOOD VIBES OF SUMMER!
